Special Needs Ministry

Special Needs Ministry was created to support, serve and affirm individuals with disabilities as well as their families through advocating and promoting inclusion, building genuine friendships, and connecting families with already existing services in the city of Kalamazoo.

KABAS: Kalamazoo Academy for Behavioral & Academic Success.

KABAS is a private year-round elementary school that services children with learning needs in K-6th grade here at the Point. Visit https://www.kalamazooschool.org for more information.

Friendship Groups

Friendship Groups are integrated gatherings that occur weekly. Through Friendship Groups, our desire is to meet the #1 need in Kalamazoo: building genuine friendships. Friendship Groups operate through volunteers and donations, so barriers that typically prevent friendships are not present. This allows connections to grow week after week, both in our building as well as outside the walls of The Point Community Center.

Our Friendships Groups happen weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm.
